Swim & Dive Team

Swim & Dive Registration

The Clifton Meadows Cohos have a long swim and dive tradition. With team songs, post-meet Skyline trips, and special Coho cheering sections, our Clifton Meadows swimmers and divers have built a reputation as a strong, spirited team. Joining the swim and dive teams is a great way to meet new friends, stay healthy during the summer, and have loads of fun. Some of our swimmers and divers compete on other teams year-round, but most participate only in the summer. There’s a wide range of skill and speed, but everybody sings the songs!

Clifton Meadows is a member of the PPSL (Private Pool Swim League). Typically, there are five dual swim and dive meets and one intra-squad meet.

With swimming and diving, parent participation is not only encouraged but necessary. In order for our swimmers and divers to compete, your help is crucial. There are many ways to participate, including volunteering at meets and at beloved Coho events, including Tie Dye Day, the team pancake breakfast, and NUF Night. When you commit your child to the team, you are also committing to volunteer.

The summer swim and dive season ends the week of July 7 with swim and dive Finals.

Swim and dive team registration opens April 1. Our tentative practice start date is Tuesday, May 28. For the 2024 season, it will cost $70 per person to join the swim and/or dive team. Press the button below to pay the team fee.

Click on the payments tabs and choose "Swim Team fee".

Note for our youngest swimmers:
During the first week of practice, our coaches will have our 8-and-under swimmers complete a swim evaluation to determine if they’re ready for the swim team. The coaches try to make this as low key as possible. To join the swim team, kids need to be able to swim one lap without touching the bottom, the wall, or the lane line. Swimmers who aren’t quite ready will be directed to swim lessons. If you’re unsure if your child is ready, we suggest that you register (so that we have a signed waiver for the swim evaluation) but that you hold off on paying your team dues. Also, many of our youngest team members (we call them Mini Cohos) only swim the home meets.
